Just received this email from The Blue Plate Restaurant Company inviting customers to bring in a canned good (for Second Harvest) and get their amazing turkey burger for $5. The Edina Grill's turkey burger is mouthwatering-ly amazing! Why not help someone in need out and save some money? While you're at it, upgrade to the sweet potato fries with the Chipotle aeoli. Yum!

Gym Membership? Fuel up with BOGO at Punch

The one time a gym membership would have served me well. As someone who refuses to pay the start up and administration fees, I've avoided gym memberships, choosing to walk around Lake Harriet, doing Pilates courses or grabbing Groupons for gym classes with no commitment. It appears my counterparts who thrive on attending the gym benefit from this one (though I'll use the money saved on avoiding said start up and administration fees to buy a pizza or two.)

August 22nd - August 24th if you purchase one pizza and show your gym membership, Punch will give you a second pizza for free.

Punch Pizza: Wine a la Napoli

The good people of Punch Pizza have fun promotions every once in awhile, and it would be idiotic not to indulge when they're sent out. Seeing as I'm not big on beer or wine, I will pass on this one but plan on taking good friend Ally there when she comes into town for the NHL Draft. My First Groupon :)

Yesterday I ventured out and tried my hand at Pilates at Align Pilates. For the record, it kicked my butt yesterday and I'm still sore today. To say it was worth it is an understatement, I now get why people are flocking to Pilates in herds. Today when I opened my Groupon I saw that my Pilates studio was having a deal for Barre Class at Align Pilates. The deal? Four one-hour sessions of Barre class for $36. That's $9 a class. Being new to Groupon I had a $20 credit, so these classes are literally going to cost me $4 for each class. $4 for one hour of intense workout in a boutique studio. Yep, there won't be a ton of people in there with me, my Pilates classes fit six people, meaning my first timer embarrassment will be limited to five other people plus an instructor. Punch Pizza: Free Mozzarella di Bufala

Every time I go to Punch Pizza I get the same thing: Napoli with proscuitto done doppio style but cut. Meaning, double helping of Mozzarella di Bufala and twice as much extra virgin olive oil. Recently I received an email from Punch Pizza. My favorite pizza place in Minneapolis was changing their marketing and customer loyalty practices. For the past few years the team at Punch decided to market their pizza and reward their loyal customers the traditional, paper way; and the new, social media way. As of June 1, 2011 the paper Punch cards and regular advertising are out and social media and email are in.

To sign up for Punch Pizza's email list simply go to their website and add your email address. Coupons range from free drinks, ingredient upgrades, pizzas under a dollar, free pizzas, buy one get one free pizzas, etc. It's always a great day when you get a Punch email.
